Trim the stems about 1 inch off the ends and place the flowers in a tall drinking glass or vase, add a 1/2 to 1 inch of water to the glass and place flowers in the refrigerator.
By refrigerating your flowers, it will lock in the cold and hold the flowers’ time of life and shape before shipping. This helps the ice block to keep the flowers cold rather than make them cold after they go in the box.
DO NOT PUT YOUR FLOWERS IN THE FREEZER!! Freezing the flowers will damage the blooms, possibly making them unable to complete the process of preservation.
Also, to ensure that your ice block(s) are frozen keep them in freezer for at least 8 hours to get cold.
